Question! Does 23/1 OMAD enough to enter ketosis?

Some details on that: "It can take anywhere from 12 to 24 hours to get into a state of partial ketosis. During a fast, once your serum glucose level drops by 20% your liver will start producing ketones to supplement the energy your brain needs. Achieving full ketosis can up to 10 days on a...

    Awesome OMAD, keto, carnivore clip

That's wild! There is a lot of 'FUD' out there at times, but the evidence is beginning to look overwhelmingly positive. Not to mention I can truly feel and see the benefits in myself. I am 46 and could outlift my 23yr olf self at the gym (and he was fit!).

    General info about FMD

It seems the bulk of his research is regenerating the immune system and putting cells into a fasted state to better deal with chemo. His studies seem to indicate the mimicking can achieve this, as well as offer the same levels of autophagy in a full fasted state. It's good to see some actual...

    General info about FMD

Very cool info! Yeah, I haven't dug into this enough to understand all of the triggers. I really wish there was a home-based test of some kind that could tell us when we are in a fasted state. Like a ketostix you could pee on and it tells you you are still 'fasted'. Hmm, million dollar idea?

    General info about FMD

Basically, a prominent fasting research scientist found huge benefits after a 5day fast, but knew it was too difficult for most people to accomplish. So he devised a way to provide just enough sustenance throughout the fast, to trick the body into remaining in a fasted state. Using this plan...

So what is your favorite fasting app?

Cool. Soon, we'll have a nice 'fasting profiles' area here for members to document their routine etc. In the near future, I am interested in building a fasting app that also ties directly into that, so the app is updating content on this site. Looking forward to community feedback when it's...

    Hello from Florida

Good stuff! So many people doing OMAD at the moment. I'm at 17hr daily pretty much and the occasional 3-4 day water only. 10.5% bodyfat at the moment so can't afford to lose any weight, so am enjoying the health benefits and maintenance phase.

    General info about FMD

No doubt, kind of hoping it catches on more, then economies of scale can drive price to say $99. I'd go for it at $99 if it's just something I do 2x a year.

    Hello from California

Wow, what a result, you look great! Thanks for sharing this, it will definitely inspire people. It's amazing what can happen when WE take control. Sadly, many are controlled by food instead of the other way around. I have a cheat food once a week. On Saturday, we go to the local farmers...

Study finds meal timing strategies appear to lower appetite, improve fat burning

The evidence continues to increase. "Peterson and her colleagues also report that meal timing strategies may help people burn more fat on average during a 24-hour period. Early Time-Restricted Feeding (eTRF)--a form of daily...

2018 Study: Even if you do nothing but adhere to an 8hr feed window = benefits

Even if you did nothing else, this alone can give people improvements that compound over time. An 8hr feeding window is not 'too hard basket'. "Body weight and energy intake decreased in the time restricted group (–2.6% ± 0.5; –341 ±...

Two 'go to' supplements that keep my gut moving while fasting.

Many people struggle with a slow gut and constipation while fasting or intermittent fasting. I'll keep this brief as I'm writing a long article on the topic. But, as a preview, these two supplements have been a lifesaver for me. I naturally have a very slow gut which almost made fasting pure...
